Are there any active 3D TV's that are actually any good for gaming? was thinking around 37-42", I have heard stories of input lag leaving people with headaches after an hours play so really not up for that.

I would only, and only, consider plasma for gaming. LED and LCD tv's lag is a little too much for shooter games. other games MAY be ok but not 100% on that.
Having said i would go plasma, i would go for the plasma with the lesser technology. i.e with Panasonic, the ST range over the GT or VT range. ST50 is a good buy. Im on the market for one for dedicated movies and pc gaming only.
Pannys have the better 3D too IMO

Thanks mate will take a look at them

I used to have an LG LED passive 3D 32" for gaming - set to PC mode it was fine for general use and gaming, no discernible input lag
3D for gaming sucked due to HDMI limitations but for movies it was fine

Problem is with plasma is that you do still have to worry about IR and possible burn... Yes they are a lot better nowadays but I had a Samsung D6900 and I could not play for more than about 3 hours without getting HUD stuck on screen for a few days afterwards.... That was with mid/low contrast and pixel shifter etc. ON. Depends if you like to sit for long sessions. Up to about 3 hours at a time they are OK.

But other than that they are better than LCD although the expensive LED are pretty good... Plasmas typically have 16-30ms input lag and Good LED have about 30ms. My LED has 30ms input lag and it is fine for controller but KB/M with vsync on is a bit slower than I would like, it is ok with vsync off.

Best for FPS games is a monitor with KB/M and other games with controller are good on TV...

Do 3DTV's suffer from crosstalk like monitors? I'd like to get into 3D gaming but crosstalk on 3D monitors have always put me off. I tried a friends 3D projector which was great but I have a really small bedroom and cant really find the space for one. :(
