DO NOT buy the 27" DGM Monitors

I've never had an issue with my DGM, its worked perfectly since day one, the only niggle is with the sabertooth Z77 asus board it wont show post over DVI connection, I have to use a display port cable from the GTX-680 to see all post, bios, desktop, but hey its been perfect since purchase, so no complaints here.:D
 
Mine is sitting boxed by my desk at work. Its doing my head in wondering if this thread will be right or wrong for me!

edit: Works just fine, hopefully it will stay like that. Yes, the stand is pretty wobbly but I can live with that because after some calibration from a reviewers site the screen looks simply fantastic :)

If it's ok after a week ill buy a vesa mount.

Wheras we take any complaint serious, our system records all RMA's, whether faulty, DSR or courier damaged.

Yes the DGM has a higher failure than say DELL or Samsung, but they are fit for purpose, if they were not fit for purpose we'd have a crazy return rate on the product. Fact is we've sold close to 2000 units now and yes with 120 units returns and 2/3 actually being faulty that is higher than more expensive premium monitors.

But at the same time there are 1800+ users out there who are happy with their DGM 27" monitor.

So yes with a DGM the risk of failure is higher, but at least you have the good support from OcUK should anything go wrong. But fact is any product can fail, but some do fail more than others because lower cost brands use lower cost components.

I feel the majority of complaints are regarding the PSUs failing. If you could source a higher quality one might be worth adding it to the order and bumping the price up to cover the cost.....or give it as an option

We don't manufacturer the units, DGM do, I've asked the questions if any changes have been made to the PSU and if they can source higher quality unit.

Though the RMA rate has not all of a sudden spiked so nothing suggest anything has changed recently, shall see what they say.
 
Still waiting to hear about my PSU testing (was received Friday by OCUK) and if a replacement is being sent. Got a lovely monitor sat on my kitchen table still not been tested yet due to faulty PSU. I hope it's not full of dead pixels if/when I get a replacement.
 
Got the power supply today. Monitor works great, still trying to get the stand to stay put without the monitor dropping down but that's a minor gripe.

The picture quality is amazing compared to my old monitor. Granted it was a Hanns-G so nothing spectacular but a good upgrade now it's finally working.

Just messing with the calibration some more to get it right.

I shall now stop complaining. Thanks OCUK. :)

gratz, they are good monitors, I have 3 of them and they are all basically perfect picture wise once you dial in the settings

People have a right to complain if a brand new product breaks within a given timeframe (they may not even be aware of the 'problems' anyway). Plenty of goods are sold at cheaper prices than rival products but that doesn't mean to say that one should accept high failure rates. If there was nothing wrong with them then they wouldn't necessarily be the price of a Dell because Dell may have a different pricing model for that line, perhaps driven by different costs (e.g. more spent in other areas such as packaging, documentation, support, marketing etc that do not have a direct impact on the quality of the hardware itself).
 
Fractal were only dumped because the cases were arriving to Overclockers too damaged to sell. They [Fractal] don't care if the quality is poor for the end customer [OcUK] - a sale is a sale.
 
MINE HAS A DEAD PIXEL RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE, OVERCLOCKERS WONT SWOP IT.
I'VE HAD MANY MONITORS BUT THIS IS THE ONLY ONE WITH DEAD PIXEL. A+ SCREEN MY BUM:confused:
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR BUY ANOTHER:mad:
 
Just had my PSU go pop as well. OcUK we very quick to respond to the RMA request and I had a replacement within a week so thanks guys.

As others have said, its an amazing monitor but I fear that its price to quality ratio is starting to suffer as Dell have a £400 monitor with the same pane now.
 
Ive got 3 of these DGM's and all three have been faultless, to be honest as long as its just the power supplies that tend to go (if anything) then they are well worth the money

the cheap dells are not without potential issues either to be fair
