Bioshock 3 - Infinite

All i can say about this game is WOW.

Running my GTX460 that's right... 460 on V.high to Ultra. smooth as a baby's bottom.

The opening scene in the church was graphically beautiful. it's quite amazing how advanced graphics are now.

Just met elizabeth and now on the beach and everything looks so real, hopefully more games will be like this in future

I'm enjoying this but I do feel it is a little over rated. The graphics are stunning but the lack of player interaction with any of the environment really removes you from the game. The beginning is the worst part when your walking through the water and there is not a splash or even a ripple. It almost feels you are playing in ghost mode and floating around the map.

Other than that it is a good game with some nice pieces but tbh it's no Bioshock the atmosphere that was created in the original is not replicated here for me.

Still a good game but for me not as great as the first.

Amazing game...amazing storytelling...loved the ending...

Certainly the best game I've played and enjoyed in a long time!

Thanks for the Giant Bomb link, cleared up a few loose ends but that was my general understanding of the story also.

Found this same link. Really summed up the ending well. Like some people said the ending all came together a bit quick and my brain was like wwahhhhh. Especially after that last fight scene which was frustrating as hell XD

The fight

I thought that was too easy, I stayed at the top on the right where you first enter the deck, kept picking people off with the carbine and hand cannon. You can snipe people across the map with those. Died once because i didn't see 2 people who flanked me. Played on normal with a 360 pad.

Was playing on hard my self. It was just finding a good way to conserve ammo. After trying a few method I like you said sat the the back with the sniper, picked off the normal enemies and killed any machines/rocket guy with my RPG while stunning them with Shock Jocky

Early days but this really does feel like a work of art. The gameworld itself is fast becoming one of my all-time favourites. The world just feels so alive and the atmosphere is palpable. I’m still wandering around like a child in a zoo marvelling at everything, exploring every nook and cranny (and still probably missing plenty). So far so fantastic.

lol at 10's for this game it's getting vastly overrated.

Nice graphics but quite frankly the gunplay is clunky and linear and don't get me started on the save game solution.

It's a linear on rails semi decent shooter with high production values but little in the way of gameplay depth bar searching every corner of the linear levels for loot.

A solid 8/10 but the gameplays far too linear and clunky to get a 10 just shows people really have become graphics w's.

+1

I hate not being able to talk to people and buy stuff in stores and such.

Exactly my reaction. I haven't been this emerged in a game for a long time. Really does do shame to most video game story lines these days. Call of Duty to name a one that must require little to no effort to come up with.

Dishonored was also a very good game, and has a vary similar feel to it IMO.

Does it matter if you have not played or finished any of the previous Bioshock games? I have played them but never completed the story so i'm not really clue'd up on the game.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 14 hours it took me to complete the game, the only downer I could find was the save system, checkpoints are a terrible idea.
Otherwise I was utterly hooked, a brilliantly realised world with an excellent story, the ending baked my noodle for a while but I soon caught up to it.

Its a decent game but does not warrant super high reviews its been getting as always the reviews gloss over the stuttering issues many are having which are the same on a GTX Titan as a lesser card with the higher settings.

Its either a fundemental issue with the UT3.5 game engine as Batman Arkham City was similar with DX11 enabled or something else but there is a lot of stuttering going on most of the time right now latest drivers make no difference whatsoever neither does an SSD something is causing this on most systems using the Ultra settings & the art style is superb but the gfx are pretty average overall & lacking detail even on Ultra. Disabling texture streaming in the ini files causes other issues like no ingame scripts working properly in several places & getting stuck because of this. Changing the min Smooth FPS setting to 60 makes it slighly better but its still present in most scenes.

Hopefully they can patch this soon its ruining the game right now for me & many others :(
