New components, Is this good for the money?

It boggles the mind how you can replace an 8-core with an Intel 4 core haha :D

We have to work out what the rig is for.

"I see AMD......... must replace it!"

Basically with most tasks the 3570k will match or exceed the 8 core. Just because it has 4 more cores doesn't make it better, looks like on paper to consumers though.

Please state where I mentioned it being better? ;)

I just find it strange, the way rigs are always changed to Intel for what seemed like no reason.

AMD could have been a personal choice.

Was this intended to poke fun at my intelligence? :D

Sorry for late reply, mainly for gaming, I posted another thread or two a few days ago that had only Intel builds, I was wondering if the AMD build was good, going to overclock, I am upgrading a current PC.

Generally for gaming it's best to look into the similarly priced 3570K as it performs better, in most cases. The 8350 is not a bad CPU and only pulls slightly behind in some games but imo if you feel happier with a AMD system it's worth a look at.

How about with video recording, and possibly streaming, would that work better with AMD or Intel? I already chose Nvidia over AMD for rendering, streaming, recording, etc, and the 660 is in the system I already have. Which is why I don't need a new GPU, I got a new PSU too, a new old, but fine HDD which I can always add to later, and a optical drive, I just need case, cpu, motherboard, ram, and cpu cooler

Steaming would most likely work better with the 8350 because of it's 8 cores.

So does my build look ok for streaming/recording/editing?

The total spec would be:
AMD FX 8350
Asus M5A99X
NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi
Avexir MPower Yellow Series 16GB 1600mhz
Antec Kúhler H2O 620 Series 4 CPU Watercooler
KFA2 Geforce GTX 660 (Already owned)
Corsair CX Series 500 (Already owned, would look to replace in the near future after purchasing the rest)
Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM HDD (already owned)
LG Optical Drive (Already owned)

I think it will be ok, as I can play Tera and WoW Max settings at 30fps at 1080p with this:
AMD Athlon 250
Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2P
Mars Blue Case
2x2GB Corsair 667mhz
Stock Air Cooler
KFA2 Geforce GTX 660
Corsair CX Series 500
Hitatchi 500GB 7200RPM HDD
LG Optical Drive

So shall I upgrade to:
AMD FX 8350
Asus M5A99X
NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi
Avexir MPower Yellow Series 16GB 1600mhz
Antec Kúhler H2O 620 Series 4 CPU Watercooler
KFA2 Geforce GTX 660 (Already owned)
Corsair CX Series 500 (Already owned, would look to replace in the near future after purchasing the rest)
Hitachi 500GB 7200RPM HDD (already owned)
LG Optical Drive (Already owned)

Or:
Intel i5 3570k
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H
NZXT Phantom 410 Enthusiast Midi
Avexir MPower Yellow Series 16GB 1600mhz
Antec Kúhler H2O 620 Series 4 CPU Watercooler
KFA2 Geforce GTX 660 (Already owned)
Corsair CX Series 500 (Already owned, would look to replace in the near future after purchasing the rest)
