Bioshock 3 - Infinite

going through it a second time on easy to have a relaxing experience have bit fun and make sure i get every thing. voxphones etc.

then on to 1999 mode. as ive done hard.

Meh still no key from amd. Emailed them and they say it's been sent and to check inbox which I have course been doing every couple of hours. Replied and got the we'll reply with 2 working days message, which from the time I sent the email will mean nothing til after Easter. Rant over :)

I am also still waiting on my AMD key :(

So let me get this straight. When you find that Key early on you are actually expected to backtrack through an area you cleared for no reason other than to open the chest? I just carried on going because I expected it to actually take you back that way so you didn't have to...

Finished the game on release day on a play through of 'Medium'. Game is roughly 8 hours if you just keep walking in a straight line and not back tracking for hidden extras like chests or locked doors. :p

The story is excellent and the game developers did an excellent job with the ending and story in general.

Playing through it again on hard, going to try find all the little hidden items I missed on the first play through. :)

Anyway to get rid of the very aggressive relinquishing of dead bodies. Most of them have gone before a firefight has even finished! I have everything on ultra.

Not noticed any bodies disappearing before I loot them.

I like the way there are choices in the game that have some kind of ongoing visual indication, like the hand thing.

Think I know which part you are referring to...its like less than 2 minutes back to the chest.

To be fair they're 'optional' side missions :p

Its still backtracking for absolutely no reason. Its not as if you're given free reign of an area and can wander around as you see fit. Its much more linear than the last games. Just cleared the boardwalk to find 5 lockpicks so i could go back to the start and open the chest there. What does it actually offer the gameplay?

Optional, yes but they aren't exactly skill based puzzles are they. And they offer rewards for simply walking backwards for 5 minutes.

I do agree it is very linear, I did think to myself, hmm do I just go backwards now? but I suppose its that type of game.

It was that type of game in Bioshock 1 and 2. When you were given free roam of an area with a map. It just seems very unnecessary.

Just completed it on hard, wow that ending... brain a bit frazzled!

Wasn't that hard, only had a couple of fights where ammo was an issue but always found a way.

Loved it, I can now see why it got the review scores it did.

Loving this game but getting confused. Got to the part early on where the on-screen hint tells you that you don’t have to fight in every situation, ok fair enough I thought, as I lower my weapons, but the cops just burst in and start shooting me for no reason (apart from all those people I killed earlier of course) Is it possible to do this part stealthily or non-violently? I don’t mind shooting but the on-screen hint seems to be a bit misleading or am I missing something? I'm playing on Hard and no matter how I try it, the cops always burst in and start shooting.

If you are at the bit I think you can go hide in the bathroom till they leave but you just go outside and start fighting anyway.

A lot of vigors, especially the fire one, disintegrates bodies and leaves behind a lock box instead. Or incendiary upgrades for guns do the same.

Wish it didn't burn the whole body, cool effect, but inconvenient.

I will pick this up later tonight and have a play through. I hope I like it because I'm seeing lots of mixed opinions. I wasn't a massive fan of Bioshock 2 but LOVED Bioshock 1.
