How do you dress for air travel?

depends where im going.

flying to london or somewhere else thats closer than 5 hours or so, ill just wear my regular clothes. After that comfort starts to come into play. I regularly fly 15+ hours and so i wear loose jeans and a tshirt with some kind of zip up top. Also depends on what the weather is like where im going.

gone are the days when air travel was glamorous and luxurious..its cheap as chips now so dont expect anything better. unless you fork out for first class or business :dunno: then you wont have to associate with the peasants.

Usually a suit, but then I'm usually flying short haul to work. I mostly fly from London City and pretty much everyone there is dressed exactly the same.

Jeans, shirt/t-shirt, jacket if needed, trainers. Couldn't give a monkeys what other people think about what I wear, and don't really care what other people are wearing.

All the more reason the change it up and go casual.

I can remember two definite job offers that I turned down years ago because they insisted I would have to wear a suit.

A collared shirt isn't exactly the most comfortable of things to wear on a long flight. Besides, you'll find that sports clothing is usually the most comfortable because they stretch and are made comfortable for a purpose.

I travel quite a lot with work and normally business class, I still dress as comfortable as possible, so combats and tshirts are standard with nothing metal on me.

Best was coming back from Carmen in Mexico which with connections via mexico city and new york was a 3 days of travel, turned up in the BA lounge in JFK wearing board shorts and had a 4 hour wait sitting drinking Heineken

I like to wear a nerdy t-shirt just to see if anyone would comment on it. (and a pair of jeans, derp)

I'll usually be my normal scruffy self. I wear jeans, t-shirt, hoody and trainers for most occasions, including work.

Usually the flights I'm on are cheap ones anyway, that don't have business or first class.

I am however flying with Swiss from London City Airport in a couple of weeks, so based on what has been said above about LCY, I shall make extra efforts to be as un-smart as possible

I usually fly from LCY for business trips, and usually go as scruffy as possible. I also detest those stupid suitcases on rollers that seem to be a requirement as well. I've never needed more than a rucksack.

If I'm meeting a client right after the flight I will wear a shirt and trousers with a casual jumper.

If the client car is collecting me from the airport then straight to a hotel I will wear, crag hopper trousers, a tshirt and hoodie or jumper.

I avoid wearing jeans since taking a belt off all the time wears thin when you travel a lot.

I try and have a shower in the lounge whenever I can, it's always nice to freshen up, especially when you have a couple of connections to make.
