Nvidia Geforce 650/660 advice

I have been putting of buying a graphics card for ages now however cards seem to be at a fantastic price at the moment. I am however slightly confused over the whole Nvidia Geforce lineup.

The cards that I am looking at are either the new GTX 650ti BOOST or the GTX 660.

Both cards can be bought sub £150. A standard EVGA 650Ti Boost is £140, a Superclocked 650Ti Boost £147 or a PNY GTX 660 is £145.

I am confused as to which one to buy, logic says the 660 will always be better as it is a better model.
1080p gaming will be the limit for me, and in terms of games if GTA V comes out on PC that will be the most demanding game I would play.

Any help would be appreciated (and sorry I have posted similar topics before but this new 650ti boost has really confused me!).

Kind regards,
Chris

Not interested in the 7850 then? Its generally cheaper and faster than a 660. Especially once both have a reasonable overclock.

7850 looks more expensive to me (only by £10) compared to the 660.

They look fairly similar in performance to me from this comparison

However the 660 uses less power and is slightly quieter.

I think I will go for the 660, unless someone has a fantastically compelling reason to go with AMD?

If you're purely an Nvidia only guy a 660 is the lowest Nvidia card you should be considering.

As mentioned, AMD cards from 7850 to 7950 are usually better value and offer equal or better performance.

Thanks for the advice, I'm not totally against AMD but I have had some bad experiences with them in the past so I thought I would go with Nvidia this time.

I just ordered a PNY 660 for £145 brand new which I think is an absolute steal.

Thanks for all your advice
