Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

I'm moving from console to PC for Battlefield 4 (amongst other things). What was Premium like for PC? I presume the Premium pre-order copy is NOT the subscription service for free DLCs and it will be a separate product?

There is no premium release for BF4 yet! The Digital copy only gets you BF4, BF4 Beta & a single Premium expansion pack, as and when released.
 
Having to use Origin = No, no matter what game it is or how shiney they make the trailers.

As for COD on the new engine time will tell. Of course its going to be the same format as usual.

Indie DEVS for a decent tactical shooter with awesome engine please (if thats even possible)

cutting your nose off to spite your face isn't wise ;)

Origin doesn't impact on gameplay or anything, open browser > select server > play game.
 
I only have a few games on Origin and mostly only use it for BF3, I really can't see what the problem is with it? Obviously it's not as good as Steam, but as a platform to just keep a couple of games on and automatically updated it's fine.
I think some people just hate on Origin just because it's seen as cool to hate on Origin.

BC2 is horrible.
You need to find a server where hitreg is good and that today isn that easy.
major difference as I can play on one server same ping and cant hit anything as the game dont take note the hit at all and on another same ping, its pretty much optimal.
Once that I can log onto servers at the same park and have different hitreg.
seriously? BF3 is even worse.

Most dont think about it but once your able to have skill and the game simply put is so noob adapted that you dont even need to aim to make a hit and then its simply not so good for fun or skill.
 
Probably is a lot harder to find decent bc2 servers now. But before bf3 was released, i played bc2 almost every evening since it came out. At that time, there were indeed a lot more decent servers to choose from.

If it was a cheat then why are people not being banned for it? Why have DICE/EA not said outright that it is a cheat etc.?



When I played bf 3, I used it purely for the colours because bf 3 looks like **** and is depressing with its crappy "artistic" filters that are anything but good.


I use sweetfx in pretty much every single game now as it makes the game look far better, more details are brought out etc

In my opinion only anything that alters the base game which can give an advantage ain't right. I've seen loads of posts on injectors where users say the game looks better( fair enough) but also they can see everything much clearer which is what I have a problem with.

Unfortunately I also don't think you should be able to turn down a lot of detail neither but that wouldn't work for peeps with lower spec machines.

Didn't watch the whole 17 minutes, but what I saw looked good.

That said, I don't think I played more than 5 minutes of the BF3 single player, so I'm not buying it for that. I'll wait until details of the multiplayer are released before making a judgement.

Never had serious problems with the hit reg on BF3, with the network slider almost all the way down, but it serious buggered the knife animation which was a shame.

So much butthurt in this thread :o
 
Can DICE explain why they didnt make Bad Company 3 the next game?
Seen a couple of interviews, nobody asks
Also will Frostbite 2.5/3 make buildings totally destructible
and can we see an end to the Battlelog? I've always hated that interface once booting up a game.

Why the hate for battlelog? Atleast it works unlike 99% of bf in game browsers.
 
Sorry if it's already been mentioned but do we have a new country's Origin store to access via proxy to get BF4 pre-order cheap now that India doesn't have it for now?
