clocks FORWARD this weekend folks.

The worst part this year is I have 2 mechanical watches that need to be changed manually, just when I have then synced as well!

Use one in GMT and one in BST then you never need to change either :)

I hate this time of year because although 90% of my customers systems will have their time automatically updated, the other ten percent have to be done manually and most customers forget how to do it over the 6 months gap from the previous time!

You borrowed an hour last Autumn, now you're just paying it back.

I am owed a lot of hours for the monstrosity that is not being able to sleep correctly :p

So when do I lose this hour? tonight? or tomorrow?

Thank god the almighty one rose on Easter Monday, maybe I can get my clock back in sync before a week of earlys starting Tuesday

Interesting, most people I know in real life prefer BST. But they tend to go out and do things in the evening whereas I guess a lot more people on an internet forum will just be indoors whatever.

Nothing stopping me going out and doing stuff in GMT?

Also with the invention of a smart phone, I can be on an internet forum where ever, when ever to check in and say hi :p

Other way round - you lend an hour away in Spring and get it back in Autumn - GMT is the "proper" time, not the abomination that is BST.

Wow. Never seen so much hate for a timezone :p

I'd happily stay on BST all year. Prefer it light well into the evening when I can actually use it, rather than 3-4 hours before I've even woken up.

So lighter evenings.. If i had a choice it would be +2 all year. I don't care if it gets light at 6am or 9am but It makes a big difference if it gets dark at 9pm or 6pm..the former the better

The thing is there is more you can do in the light. Even mundane things like gardening, cutting the lawn, working on your house or car, going out for a bike ride etc. are much easier when it's light, not to mention more sociable things.

I'd rather have an hour extra light in the evening rather than it start to get light at 2am in the summer.
