Hey guys, my current 5 year-old PC is on it's last legs and cannot be viably upgraded. I'm a complete noob with current hardware (and hardware in general really) so I need help with a new build although I've done a bit of research and have sorted out a build for you to take a look at.

What I do NOT need:

OS
HDD (will use Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200.12 from current PC)
Optical drive (will use 20x DVD-RW from current PC)
Speakers

But I need everything else!

YOUR BASKET
1 x "Intel Extreme Masters Z77" Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.40GHz DDR3 OC Bundle £384.00
- 1 x Standard Build Systems - Approximately 5-7 working days £0.00
1 x Gigabyte ATi Radeon HD 7950 Windforce 3X 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with Crysis 3 & Bioshock PC Games £259.99

Total : £1,048.42 (includes shipping : £13.75).

Edit: I've got speakers too.

That bundle(ATX mobo) will not fit in the Prodigy(mITX mobo only). So you would either have to change case or mobo.

I suppose I could give it a whirl. I'm just a little apprehensive but you are very right, there is a plethora on stuff on the web for overclocking.

Alternative with the prodigy case as you seem to like the look of that

Cheers mate, I'll have a good look at those parts. Do week only deals expire on Sundays? I might leave the Prodigy case as I think it'll be nice to have the most freedom to expand (I'm think of very large graphics cards, coolers etc) in the future.

The mobo is costing you more for Xfire/SLi but the PSU is too weak to run twin 7950s, you'd need 750W for that. I'd prefer the Z9 U3 case, if you like the midgard fair enough but it isn't as well spec'd. Although to be fair it doesn't need the USB3 adapter.

But both cases have the USB 3.0 in virtually the same place?

It's nothing to do with where the ports are but the connector at the other end. You also don't have a CPU in your basket either :/ Why didn't you sign in for free P&P too or are you not in the mainland UK?

I had no idea, oh well. CPU is from somewhere else as mentioned and got free P&P after copying BB code.
