7970 Windforce 3X or GeForce GTX 670 Windforce 3X?

Personally I'd go for the 670 over the 7970, though lots will disagree...

If you do go AMD, go with 7950 as it will save you even more and be 95% of the performance of a 7970

Personally I'd buy the GB WF 7950 over both, £240 versus £324 or even worse £340 and very little performance difference. Of course buy the 670 if you need 'nvidia stuff '. :)

The 7970 offers more performance for about the same cost.

But getting a 7950 is the most sensible option, you'll be unlikely to see your money's worth with a 670 or 7970 considering the price difference been them and a 7950.

+1 having used both 7970's and 7950's, if an oc'ed 7950 can't play it, neither will a 7970, same goes for 670/680 I imagine.

You can fill in the blankety blanks on whether you wan't to go AMD/Nvidia terry.;)

AMD is your value for money option. You're getting more performance per £ but there are other things to consider. Generally speaking, a 7950 just pips a 670 when both are overclocked and the same for a 7970 vs 680. All four cards are extremely close together though.

Personally I would avoid the GB WF 3x 7950s now as it's pot luck if you get one with proper voltage control.

7970!!! Done!!

+1
I'm going to agree with the pack cos frankly he knows his stuff. Join the 7970 master race. :p

Only go with the 670 over a 7970 if you enjoy slower graphics cards that cost more.

Or a card that actually works as advertised that you don't have to wait 6+ months (and waiting) for drivers for a particular game or over a year and a half for crossfire to be admitted to be an issue at all... :D

7970 :)

Although I prefer nvidia there prices are crazy high right now.

As for 7950 I have one and it's great but obviously the 7970 is better and the extra couple of frames will come in handy in the newer tittles like crysis 3 and bioshock.

A 7950 to a 7970 is never going to be the difference between playable and unplayable.
