Bioshock 3 - Infinite

But you don't see Anna in the crib at the end, they don't show you that far - she both is and isn't there until you look (observe), which is all left up to the player's imagination.

It could have been all in Booker's head, something like A Christmas Carol - just one of the many possibilities.

Yeah I did it on the 1st handyman you come across, it's difficult and you have to be really good at dodging the attacks, he killed me about 6 or 7 times before I got him though!

I'm also sure at least one of my shots didn't hit him in the heart and I still got the achievement. :)

What's the best weapon to use on him then ? I'm guessing the sniper rifle in un-scoped mode with all the upgrades ?

That is a good point. You only hear her, you don't see her. Though lets be honest, even seeing her wouldn't necessarily mean she was there in this game ><

Schrodinger would be proud :p

Elizabeth was still responsible for killing DeWitt when he became Comstock. But for Elizabeth to have existed in the first place, DeWitt had to become Comstock in 1 reality in order to kidnap Anna to turn her into Elizabeth in the first place. So its an infinite loop of her never existing to kill Comstock so Comstock existed and the cycle of Booker returning to save her continues.

Once Elizabeth drowns the Booker that was destined to take the baptism, she (as we know her) ceases to exist, leaving only - in another dimension - the Booker who refuses the baptism, and Anna. In my opinion, this closed the cycle in the main dimension and means that Comstock, Elizabeth, Columbia and everything we went through in the game never happens again.

This is probably way too early to be asking about the next game in the series (if there will be one), but what are peoples thoughts on where they might go next with it?
Based on the ending of Infinite I don't think they can return to Columbia like they did with rapture in Bioshock 2. Which is a shame as it was an amazing world.

I was really hoping they would at least leave it open ended so that Elizabeth could return in the next game but reading the article on the ending it seems not :(.

It's hard to imagine where they might go with the series next. But then again i thought exactly the same at the end of Bioshock 2 and they went and made this masterpiece, so i have every confidence they will make something amazing.

Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I don't think they should continue the series personally. I think this is a great way to end it. Plus any new game would be just another man and another city,

Well they could create new ip like natureshock and make a survival type game with in jungle, or starshock to do something with sci-fi. I rather see then do that than do another plasmids game which all three bioshock games essentially were. After all what makes the games successful is the story and atmosphere, they can carry it over into any future ip and actually add interesting fighting mechanics (hand powers + boring guns is getting boring).

NEW SYSTEMSHOCK!!!!!!!

Sorry way to excited any time I think about that, but I know it's a futile dream down to the licensing of the game! :(

Just what you want before work. Discussing paradox's :p

It could be it still wasn't over because by killing Comstock. Elizabeth never existed to kill him. So the cycle begins anew.

Yeah it seems turning round quickly after the short cut scenes after pressing buttons and such isnt such a terrific idea.

They did it in the first one too.

My heart was not impressed, especially as I was playing in the dark too.

Playing this game on normal and some of the later levels are pretty tough , kinda made me realize that I do not ever want to play this on 1999 mode.

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but did anyone else crap themselves at this point! :p

When you turn round and the Boy of Silence is right in front of you.

I had to re-find my mouse >_<

Just got to the big airship fight...died :( work time now so that sthis evening sorted :D

Oh god yes, last night lol.

Bioshock did the same thing a few times, I specifically remember one where you go into a small room with 'statues' all around and a safe in the corner. After you've searched the safe, you turn around and the statues have moved towards you, and then after a moment, they spring to life. Terrifying.

At Port Prosperity now and I have to say the combat is absolutely brilliant. The skylines make it so fast and varied. The battle there was epic. Playing on hard and it's great fun.

Reading around. 1999 mode is sounding more or less like a gimmicky name for 'the difficulty above Hard'. Enemies do slightly more damage and take slightly less than Hard and you find a less money. Considering I didn't realise you could use Possession on the vending machines and they give you a small payout I was probably a few 1000 behind what I could have had by the end anyway.

Seems more like a gimmicky name without any real meaning to it now.
