Off to Turkey tips...

Hi guys,

I am off to Turkey next week for a weeks holiday. I am going to Istanbul for 4 days then to Cesme/Alacati for the remaining days. Has anyone been to these places and can offer tips and advice onplaces to see etc.
In Instanbul, going to see the big mosques, palaces & grand bazaar etc and in Cesme, Ephesus. Anything else?
Also how much cash is needed, i have heard that in Turkey prices have risen?

Checkout the Basilica Cistern as well. Not been myself but I'm there for a one day layover in June and another in October so post back with any tips you have!

Don't sell your wife/girlfriend no matter how many camels they offer, they're full of ****. I got offered 100 camels for the missus and only got one plus an I.O.U for 99 camels.

At least the new missus doesn't moan all the time, although I wish she'd have a shave if you know what I mean.

You seem to do some cool trips but going to Iraq is insane unless you aren't white/western looking?

Only going to Iraqi Kurdistan in the north which is fairly safe

It's were the top gear special from a few years ago was filmed.

If you want crazy I'm going to Iran, Afghanistan and Turkemenistan in October as well as the Mafia state Transnistria in August
