Hi, i recently posted here about my first build - I've taken some of that advice on and have put together a new set up.

A few things to note - this is not a gaming machine - it's primarily used for Photoshop, XAMPP, movies, browsing (although I might look into a few games here and there if it will take it).
I will run two 24inch HD monitors off it. As per suggestions in the other thread, I'm going to hold off on a graphics card and see how the mobo handles two monitors - what do you think about the one I've chosen below?

Also, the processor supports 2400 DDR, and so does my mobo (OC) - is it worth me upping to this speed even though i'm not overclocking it?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Plextor M5S 128GB Solid State Drive - (PX-128M5S) £82.99
Total : £91.69 (includes shipping : £7.25).

That OCZ uses the Sandforce controller which we tend to stear clear of as it can be problematic.

Also, the 'Core' edition of that case doesn't come with any fans or the badge. You can get the non-core for £50. Also check the Grade-B section.

Thanks all.

IncognitoX, fair point on the money saving with ram and DVDRW - (thank you), but is the mobo a place where I should be saving money, if you know what I mean?

I don't mind shelling out an extra £30 if it's 'worth' an extra £30 - I'm building my own machine so i can keep it up to date etc etc, adding or changing RAM, hard drives etc etc is something I imagine I'll do more frequently, but I was willing to go a little further on my chip and mobo.

I am using OCZ Vertex 3 in my laptop and have not faced any kind of performance issues. oh touch wood :D. In fact, we had made a bulk purchase of this SSD and have installed this in our HP Pro laptops. None of them have been reported of any issues except for few minor issues. I can very confidently say, many people have this perception about SF SSDs and over a time this will certainly change.
