Bioshock 3 - Infinite

What difficulty are you guys playing on?

I never ran fully out of ammo, I only ran out on one or low on both in long fights with lots of enemies. Found plenty of ammo everywhere outside of battle, only bought ammo once after Mrs Ghostface.

That said though, my primary weapon is the carbine and its easy to one shot most enemies... So maybe I just picked the least ammo intensive weapon.

Indeed. I always found the vanilla Volley Gun + Hail Fire (if you ever found it) to be really weak. The damage it inflicted on regular people meant it took a good few rounds to kill them and against the Patriots it was basically useless. My weapon of choice for those was a Charge to amp damage them, Shock Jockey then just shotgun them in the gears a couple of times and repeat the shock/shotgun if not dead.

I didn't understand the Burstgun either. I thought it would be an autoshotun but it seemed to be more like a burst fire repeater with so much recoil the second shot always missed if you scoped in.

How the hell does this game justify being a 15GB download!
Errr... By being AWESOME!!

TESTIFY!

I found the burstgun horrific, very weak and inaccurate given the "scope" attached to it.

I played on hard mode and pretty much only used the Carbine, hand cannon and sniper rifle. I didn't buy any ammo from the vending machines as I wanted to upgrade weapons and vigors instead.

There was only one or two occasions during big battles that I had to pick up a different gun. I guess it's just down to luck what ammo drops?

EDIT: Just realised I had some gear that gave ammo 40% of the time upon killing an enemy. Probably had something to do with it :D

I know, its a worrying trend. Game publishers seem to be under this illusion that were all running unlimited fibre lines. Its getting to a stage where I can complete a game in less time than it takes to install it!

To be fair...it isn't like you have to download it. You could have bought a physical copy.

Doubt this will sell 8m it sold less than Tomb Raider @ launch in UK & UK has more like 70-75m people not 60m come to London you will see the shocking truth

This is a solid game but to break even @ 8m is a big ask there is little replay value on offer sadly :(

The article I was reading was saying COD Black OPs sold more than 5.6 million copies in 24 hours .

EDIT: Hmm, if the thread in consoles section is anything to go by I think they could struggle.

Well unless someone can invent some kind of new super compression this isn't something that is ever going to go away. Some games have a lot of assets :)

Completed this last night, I had high expectations but they were very much surpassed. Quite simply one of the best games I've ever played.

I’m curious as to how the DLC is going to work. I haven’t bought the season pass but am very tempted, I’m certainly left wanting more and am sure they deserve more of my money! However I hope it doesn’t ruin things, the whole story worked so well that I don’t know what will happen if they squeeze other stuff in, but then again if they planned the DLC from the start hopefully they know what they’re doing.

I'd be okay if the DLC wasn't even gameplay. Just something like a short movie going deeper into some characters backgrounds?
