"Technical Middle Class" for me. Wouldn't say it was a million miles off in the description either.
Why is it a total joke? It sounds quite fitting. These questions were derived from a much more detailed test conducted on 160,000. Analysis found that, for example, asking the professions of your associates was a more accurate indicator of class than asking what you do... and so on. It's not perfect but it is a reasonable model.Ridiculous test: Emergent service worker.
I wouldn't even say the questions were representative. Given I'm highly technically qualified it's a total joke.
Established Middle Class
Whatever that means.
It isn't, see above. If you'd have looked into the test, you'd see that there is not one 'cultural' score, but two: emerging cultural activities and classical highbrow ('boring rubbish farts'). Different things add to each and each gives increasingly probability to one of the classifications, based on a trained model from the wider study. So the survey greys out rentals over £125k.
Plus the social aspects will score you highly if you go to ballet, operas and other boring rubbish farts do.
Retarded and flawed.
By the way, does everyone realise that if you live with your parents, you're not supposed to use their income as your 'household'? By household it means you and at most your partner.
