My card is a SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5

Ive not got a clue when it comes to statistics and what is a good result for your card, that was just the free version hence the res, ive just bought a new graphics card so was searching google for some software that does GPU tests and this is the software that people were saying is reasonable for testing, i just wanted to make sure its ok and is performing as it should

If your whole system is running at factory clock speeds then that score is fine. Try overclocking the CPU to at least 4ghz and give the card an overclock. Then you should be up to 11000+.

Thanks, yeh everything is on the stock settings, for what i do i don't really need to overclock.

It was more for things like frames per sec and the other bits and bobs that always throws me, not sure what is a good frames per second etc

Those results look good for stock. Make sure you're using the 13.3 beta 3 drivers Matrix. The fastest current AMD drivers around aimed at gamers.

Take them with a pinch of salt mate.

My 680 scored 300+ pts higher than the 7970 Sapphire Vapor-X but as proven in other threads, gaming performance will yield totally different results.

Fair point, i guess that as long as its working fine in the real world with no obvious issues then thats all you need to know.
