I ordered my Phantom 630 from OcUKs main competitor purely because the price was so good and OCuK wouldn't price match . That was 2 days ago, I didn't receive a shipping email Tuesday so I rang them yesterday at 10am and was told yes it's going out today, nothing again so I ring at 4pm. Yes it's going out today... I finally get a dispatchment email at 9pm last night - awesome!

I wake up and see on the tracker today - "arrived at local depot"... IN OLDBURY?! 215 MILES AWAY!

I'm so damn annoyed, their forums are full of ignored posts and bad support if im honest.

A day and a half to ship then its sent to the other side of the country, I ordered my 3770k here a month ago late on in the day around 3pm and it came 10am the next morning with 2 packs of HARIBO.

I'm furious, now to sit and wait for the phone lines to open (can't sleep) before someone gets my Phantom 630 bloomin miles away.

Gutted, but OcUK delivery is awesome and it's always worth paying the extra for the customer service aswell.

How quick he needed it has absolutely nothing to do with it.

If he did need it ASAP, E.G. being a self run business or similar he would probably be screwed now and will have lost a customer.

Are you in that much of a rush that you need it asap ?

I don't mind the extra day or so wait, that doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me is my parcel will be out for delivery to some random address 200+ miles away. Would that not bother you?

I order at OCUK purely for the Haribo... Which I give to my mum to keep the peace for spending my money instead of giving her rent ;) If you're going to order from another site then you can't expect the same service as OCUK.

Not to bad mouth OCuK but it's the only other company I order from, they've been topped OcUK for years in awards etc but I've only ever had 1 good delivery from them out of 3. OcUK have delivered consistently for years and I'm never ordering elsewhere again!

The only other place I order from is the rainforest, mainly due to the fact that their support and returns are also absolutely amazing.

Generally only ever by things that are expensive to return or things OcUK don't sell from there however, generally OcUK have a much larger inventory for components and free next day delivery helps.

I've had issues with pretty much every store I've ever ordered from, however very rarely from OcUK.

Some small hitches are expected but some seem to go over the top trying to ruin your day.

They're supposedly more reputable than OcUK, I disagree though and someone's getting an angry phone call this morning!

Oh lawd help the person you inflict your wrath upon!

No but really, this is quite the cry-hard thread isn't it?

By all means, be disappointed but crying about it like this, it seems a bit tasteless.

I wish people would stop acting like OcUK is the only place in the UK that is capable of giving a good service when it comes to computer parts.

I purchased something from the members market last week and i haven't had it yet or a reply from the seller !

What am i going to do :(

Nope.

What does it matter how far it is away? It just matters when it gets to you. Who knows why it's gone that way. The logic to shipping isn't always meaningful to the eyes of a laymen but realistically being ~250 miles away means it's only a 4 hour drive away from your house - it could easily be delivered on that same day.

Logically your package could have been taken from the suppliers warehouse to the couriers depot, that is technically further away, but would then be put on a lorry that's only purpose is a B line straight to another depot around the corner from you. It makes a LOT more sense for the courier to group packages together for one trip rather than having your own personalised lorry go directly to your house.

(I'm not saying your package WILL be delivered but I'm sure if you looked at OCUK's tracking it would do something of the same thing)

Was about to post something like this but you've worded it better.

From what i can see the difference in price between ocuk and various competitors is about £5 either way, ocuk bang in the middle price wise, cant see the saving to be worth the hassle

I would just order from OcUK because I know that my goods will arrive on time. Free delivery too init!

Ahhh, I remember the days when I would have been annoyed if this happened to me. :p

You'd be ranting on a forum, tearing your hair out, gulping down the scotch, being aggressive to everyone and swearing like a trooper. :p Now you just relax and look forward to tomorrow. :D
