Cheapest way to respectfully play bf3

Post a budget and the best spec possible will be posted.

Else I could just recommend a Titan i7 beast which will play Bf3 respectfully.

Would this system have a few upgrades to it, as with BF4 coming out, might need a bit more power packed behind it. Do you have an actual budget? For BF3, the i3 and 7850 will be great however in the future it might not be as powerful.

This is if future proofing is something your hoping on/wanting.

It may be worth going for a low end i5 over the i3. The extra cores will be useful in the larger 64 player online maps.

Or, slightly left field, consider an FX 6300.

i3 + 7850 2gb is what i have any it plays BF3 easily on medium settings.

i have this setup and set my gfx to the high profile and have no problems.

im looking at getting an I5 for when BF4 comes out though.

there is a bgrade i5 2500 in the clearance line section

The 6300 is a great value chip for gaming. Costs similar to a i3 and gives similar performance, but the extra cores help quite a bit in multithreaded applications (which games are becoming increasingly). It can also be overclocked to give a extra boost in performance, unlike the i3.

I personally think low end AMD FX processors (mostly the 6300) should be considered more as they are very competitive over equivalent Intels.

The problem with the 6300 is making sure you dont get a board which throttles it. And unlike the i3 or a basic i5 which you can easily run from a £40 H61 you need to spend almost double that on the board for a 6300.
