BMW Warranty

if the service is very recent, can you not get it re-done by bmw fox? for warranty purposes.

The service isn't a warranty problem anyway really?

Personally I think it's not selling because it's probably not the best of examples, which you'd expect given its the cheapest car of its age and spec for sale in the country.

I think at this budget its better to avoid the M Sport.

Tbh it does put me off a little the fact that its been serviced and MOT'd by someone not approved along with the fact that he wouldn't add £270 tax to it because he said "for the spec I've already lowered the price as much as I can" yet he's already lowered it by £200 since I viewed it on Friday.

I love the black and red leather but if I'm going to ignore the mileage on a car then there's actually another one or sale which does has full BMW service history.
I would prefer to keep warranty costs down though so i am looking for under 60k mile. As said above I can adjust my budget slightly for the right car

I had actually thought of saying I'd consider a sale if he had it serviced by an approved garage or a BMW dealer but that was before I made the thread and re considered

Well, the "top spec" one, is the first one Fox posted.

As for the looking bland and cheap, any of them that don't have iDrive.

If will ever run the car outside the warranty period than I believe the N52 is much better reliability wise than the N53.

This is what my research and ownership led me to believe.

slight hijack (sorry) - does anyone know if theres a website anywhere which estimates depreciation of the new 3 series? Need a new car in about 9 months so wondering if its worth hanging on a bit longer to get the newer 3 series!

Cheers (sorry to OP also!)

The "newer" 3-series? The F30/31 isn't due an LCI yet is it?

If you are looking at Coupé/Convertible, then it won't be a 3-series anyway. That's now the 4-series market.

Sorry I meant the F30 being the new one - my budgets up to £15k so I was hoping that within 9 months to a year there would be F30s in this range!

Absolute poverty spec 316d f30's may hit 16-17k in 9-12 months but honestly I would buy something else or save up more to get into a higher engined variant with a better spec.

OP what about older e46's, plenty sub 60K miles 330/325 auto's around with sat nav?

I had considered them but I just really dislike the interior. Might sound silly but if I'm changing my car then its got to be one I'm 100% happy with. I didn't feel entirely sure of the 330i coupe which is why I walked away.

My friend is excited about a 1 series he has seen which also happened to be one I spotted and saved as well. 1 series

Edit: ah just spotted the high mileage.

Personally, I'd be happier with a mint SE with less miles and lower warranty cost. Or go for a 325 Sport (if these are available?)

In the beginning I was looking at 1 series as well but after looking around and test driving a few 3 series I'm definitely swaying more that way.
