After all the effort I have made, what I would just LOVE to hear would be something like :

"yes I admit that is is quite obvious that apple do actually overcharge for their brand, based on the fact that this has now been demonstrated multiple times.... however I like the apple brand and to me I think the extra money is worth it, even if it is a bit over priced"

Instead of :

"yes but it is justified that they over charge because of *insert random reason here which actually makes no difference*"

Cant you just admit that apple over charge for the products but you like them anyway?

I'd love to see a mod knock 100 posts off your count for blatant trolling. You're even posting directly after yourself instead of editing the posts you've made. If you want access to the Members Market contribute properly.

So after all this time you still don't know the difference between expensive and overpriced? I could have taught it to a monkey by now...

It's quite clear your OCD is doing this to you, though. It has consumed you. I can only sympathise.

I just can't understand why someone would spend so much time obsessing over something they apparently "don't care about" and have "no interest in". So strange.

Show me an exact same PC with the SAME DB level with the same form factor for cheaper.

Then I will happily say it.

A massive tower that is louder, No, just no.

I would happily continue to pay the "inflated" prices.

You forget people buy Macs for more than spec. The ones that buy it purely based on Ghz speed would buy a windows system, like yourself.

Seriously though a modern PC with a insulated case, 3 x 600 rpm case fans and a quiet heatsink and GPU it is silent.

My point is not that "you buy macs for more than the spec" I am not disputing that....

My point is that apple clearly overcharge for identical items.

Prove it.

SAME db level.

No matter how insulated you have it, there is a hole where the fans have to come out, you can't insulate THAT hole.

What about the PSU fan?

Robbo you seem to have some sort of obsession with my behaviour.

This is a hardware forum and I am discussing hardware, I am free to do so if I wish. If you want to psycho analyse people and make personal comments, go and visit a psycho analysis forum.

Ok maybe you have a point then that the imac is a bit quieter.

But I was just saying that the noise level in a modern insulated case with quiet components is almost inaudible.. You would have to be pretty OCD to be bothered about the noise level.

My old iMac is in my bedroom, 2 feet from my head.

You can't buy a quiet night sleep (if I want to leave it running), or you can with a Mac.

I find it fascinating. I've never seen someone say they're leaving a thread so many times, only to return. Again, and again, and again.

The fact you're repeatedly wrong just tops it all off nicely. In your latest escapade you can't even tell the difference between Apple and a totally different manufacturer!

Ok maybe you have a point then that the imac is a bit quieter.

Maybe there is hope for you yet. :)

It is probably quieter but it is not like a modern PC is even remotely loud if you build it for silence.

Just be quiet robbo, so what if I said I am leaving and then said something who cares. I have actually not been wrong once that is the funny part.

IN THE ENTIRE THREAD I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY BEEN WRONG ONCE. LOL.

I'll bite :p

I chose the GTX 680 as the iMac has a downclocked desktop 680. Underclocking the card to iMac levels would definitely help with less heat and fan noise.

For the rest of the system, I have no idea on the heat/noise generated. I did consider watercooling but there's just too many parts to factor in and I'm not that clued up on them.

FYI, this is how much my iMac cost me.
