Internal disk for me, my case has a SATA dock built into the top so I just plug it in and off it goes (hotswap SATA FTW). Also it's convenience above all else. A USB3 enclosure requires external power or extra cables as does eSATA.



Better protection inside than any other case.

It is large enough to hold 2 HDDs.

The idea of an external HDD is all in one, easier access from laptop if main rig somehow is gone for any reason - fire, theft, aliens etc

Spent quite a lot in the last week or 2 doing up are living room.

Were you brought up in the UK?
 
New purchases look great Rybo, are you in rented accommodation hence the trunking? Would look so much better if you could put the wires in the wall, apart from that I think you have the styling 100% right!
