Lego City - Undercover

Well, my two boys are really enjoying this and not complaining too much about sharing.

Quick question does it crash for anyone else? It crashed the Wii U twice today, nasty high pitched squeal needing an unplug to sort out.

Not touched it since the weekend, will wait for my grandson to turn up,and have fun together.
Had a crash/freeze on Sunday, exactly as you describe(maybe a gameplay feature),anyway, bloody good game,we were howling with laughter at times, good stuff.

It is a very funny game, the constant chatter is at times hilarious.

We took the train yesterday and I loved how the camera did flybys showing the scenery. It is a surprisingly big area compared to other Lego games.

Completed the storyline last night, but only 27% of the game complete with all the things to build/collect etc. Game is good enough I'm going to try and 100% it, the end of the storyline is pretty spectacular too with some amazing sequences.

can this game be played purely on the gamepad?

really stops the mrs moaning if I play more on the pad than TV in the evenings :D

No, its one you can't play purely on the pad as it's tied into the core mechanics of the game for things like video calls etc.

Its definitely worth it, I really enjoyed the story missions and now I've completed the story I'm still having fun just going around trying to get the collectibles and other wee bits and bobs to do.

Sure this is a dumb question but how do you change disguises?

My son has been playing so I haven't seen all the text and now he's stuck as an undercover police and wants to change back to a "blue police".

We can change from police to civilian to miner and so on but can't seem to use the disguises he's finding.

I was going to suggest holding the top button X I believe and selecting it.

Thanks but that selects the 'main' kits, i.e. robber, civilian, miner etc.
What I'm talking about are the disguises, prisoner being an example. I can't find any way of selecting them.
Perhaps it's not posible and they are merely collectibles?

I assume you're talking about the disguises that you collect around Lego City in which case you have to go to the basement in the police station where you can buy said disguises at the desk with Ellie and then change and edit your disguises in booth at the bottom of the basment. HTH.

Thanks a lot. I'll give that a go.

There are lots (16 I think) disguise booths to build throughout the city.

We (me and two boys) played this a bit more, taking turns, and it is real fun, so many collectables! 450 gold bricks for example!

This game just made me feel slightly better about owning a WiiU.

We need more of this tho, we have no real strong titles and I cant see much more coming out anytime soon.

I dont have kids and im 28, should I really like this game as much as I do :)

Finally got around to playing this, really enjoying it so far and don't think the loading is too bad maybe the update helped.
