7850 Options?

yes your right but wrong on the other hand, they are all 1.225v rated and always have been since launch ONLY the asus unlocked voltage bios will let you use 1.3v

they arnt locked in the same way as the 7950's and the 7970's are

and tbh your card isn't going to live very long at 1.3v its hard getting it stable with 1.225v unless your card is golden

Perhaps you can try to explain why you think the cards will break at 1.3V and why they are not stable at 1.223V (again they are not locked to 1.225, they are locked to 1.223). If there is adequate cooling on the card they can manage fine on 1.223V and 1.3V, increasing the voltage doesn't break the cards, it just makes them run hotter (but increases stability if the temps are controlled).

People are going to say bottleneck, I think its something else. Also what games are you comparing to?
But if you do a heaven run in 1080p settings as on the bench thread here, It will tell us if you are hitting the right performance.

Stock, vs my OCd 6850. Probably getting about 10-15fps extra on average with same settings.

What could possibly be wrong? (as people are suggesting)

Looking at your Sig,8gb of ram and a 64bit OS might help you, plus you should be able to do 1050 core 1375 mem without touching gpu voltage, maybe power control slider at 20% but this doesn't add voltage it just raises the thermal limits

Using a 7850 MSI card and its been amazing for me from day 1! clocked to 1180/1200 with a minor voltage boost runs games very well.

Still running 12.8 drivers though so I think im a bit out of date there

Im thinking about getting the 7850 for my first build too :D, is it a decent card or is there anything thats better for similar price? My build is nearly done now can't wait :)

I love my MSI 7850 TFIII 2GB, very quiet, and got it running 1100/1380 24/7 on stock volts.

Also with AMD going through drivers like Katie Price with husbands, always an improvement to be looking forward to with new beta's.

If your budget reaches the £200 mark though I'd save a little longer for a 7950.
