Ok

So after a few days of SATA port issues and losing random drives which then come back just as random. I think its best to change the MB.

OK so I've got an i920 and 6Gb ram.

Is there a straight swap out there I dont want to have to upgrade anything else yet.

Hey I'm still running a 8800GTX

rma it,they will fix it,might not even charge you for the repair, shoot gigabyte uk an email and request an rma, should get back to you within 3 days

other than that any x58 chipset board will suffice

I can't do without it for any length of time unfortunately. Business use.

Its been that long I had to go through my purchase history to find what model it was.

So any X58 will do.

yeah if your running win7 or windows 8 youll be ok,the utilities like easytune wont work if its a different brand ect but all the chipset drivers will be the same and windows will sort things out

no idea for xp though as I havnt tested it

id still rma it for repair in the meantime, usually something simple

Why are you linking to Z77 boards?

They won't work obviously, as they are Socket 1155, not 1366, You'll be lucky to find new 1366 boards anywhere tbh, your best bet would be look 2nd hand on evilbay.

having said that, Ocuk do have 2 in B grades
