Aintree John Smith's GRAND NATIONAL Saturday 6th April 2013 - Bets and discussion in here

This is the first time for several years where I'm not going to put on a bet. Just never got around to it and now I'm at work, so no chance at all now.

On a side note, I wonder how many horses will die this year.

It's the future now dude... you can bet using your phone.

And before the lentil munchers start, take it to another thread.

Just went to Skybet and got the following:

"Sky Bet is currently unavailable as we are making some changes."

Not to point fingers but this is possibly the worst point in the year they can make an update! Off to Stan James now.

10 on each of the following:

Cappa bleu
Harry the Viking
Soll
Quel Esprit
Roberto Goldback
Balthazar king

Anyone know a good streaming site?

Both bbc and betting site will likely not allow it as I'm on wifi here in Tokyo. Remembered we had problems last year too.

It's on Channel 4, so can watch it through their live stream, or is that not available in Tokyo?

Dont know why people put there money on Seabass. Ginger McCain was right. A woman will never win the National. That's not sexist, it's a biological fact. It is the biggest test of stamina in racing. Come the end of it, unless you have a super horse, which Seabass isn't, the horse will need a lot of strength from the jockey to keep it pushing in the final furlongs.

Katie Walsh, while a good rider, does not possess the strength required, and at the end of it, the horse will start to choose his own pace. Stick her brother on it and it would be a different story.

Went for:

Ballabriggs 22/1
Imperial Commander 14/1
Across the Bay 40/1
Soll 40/1

Only put a few quid on each to win.

On his own
Imperial Commander
Seabass

Never done a bet before (Pretty sad at the age of 27 lol) so not expecting to win anything :p
