Star Wars is generic at best but yeah the first three movies are the only ones you need watch.
That's a try hard comment if ever in saw one.
It was released in 1977, it was so wildly successful because it was anything but generic.

It was completely generic, you fell for the hype!
Hey,
I was speaking to someone the other day who mentioned about me having a couple of the old star wars games in my steam library. This moved onto conversation about the films, to which I replied I've never seen any.
Am I missing out on something that is a must watch?
Thanks![]()
If you haven't seen any then watch them in order (new ones first). You won't have the level of expectation of them that everyone else did and they do help with the overall story.

The Machete order is a great way to watch Star Wars - IV, V, II, III, VI
There's a decent explanation why here but it is hugely spoilerific
