Looks nice, personally don't think they are a 'hair dressers' car. What made you go for it? You can get a hell of a lot more car for that money.

You'll also lose a hell of a lot more on that 'more car for your money'. Even a 2009 Mini - 3 years older than his - would be upwards of £10k in reasonable condition.

Doesn't really matter for modern drives I guess. In the olden days drives used to state not to be mounted at an angle as the life expectancy would be reduced. Given that drives have a mtbf of half a million hours and that you would dock such a drive temporarily anyway you can see where I'm going with this. Also speeds are not affected as I get 105MB/s copying from disk to disk with an old Samsung 1TB docked

Besides, Corsair are not going to put an angled bay in if it was going to damage a drive. Plus you'd hear about it on the internet.

I still have problems with side mounting HDD's (SV35.5 or WD RE4), they always seem to pop a lot quicker. This is for 24/7 cctv stuff anyhoo.

Thanks!

Is indeed, an Epiphone LP 1960 Tribute plus, it's an absolutely beautiful guitar, well pleased with it. :)

What's the action like? I had to pay for mine to be set up by a pro because there was too much buzz all across the neck :(

Other than that though, I love it. Such a thick, ballsy sound from the stock pickups.

Indeed, they seem to depreciate a lot less than the swifts i'm looking at!

I've actually been nothing but impressed by W8, I haven't really understood the hate for it. Takes a bit of getting used to and changing of certain habits, but all round it's an excellent OS imo. Glad you've changed your mind on it! :)

The problem wasn't the OS, it was the V4 drive, seems the controller can't cope as a system drive, and it just sat at 100% with no actual data transferring, maybe it'll be alright in a pvr or something, but it looks like it's a 256gb white elephant. I thought the price was too good to be true.

As to Windows 8, I'm kind of liking it, not sure I'll migrate all my systems just yet, (not because it's bad, just because there doesn't seem a lot of point) but I will pick up a Surface Pro now, after struggling with 8 running like a dog on a fairly hefty workstation, I was thinking of skipping it.

As it is a items purchased thread;

Picked up the second of these, (Tony is the first one)

Finally can post in one of these threads! I managed to pick up this 670 from OcUK after a RMA of my B-Grade one, working nicely and the 680 board/HSF seems to be keeping the temperature about 20 degrees less than B-Grade.

Action is good, nice and low. Tiny bit of buzz from the open A but other than that it's great.
