looking at what she was tweeting, some of which were a little over 12 months ago or may be less, maybe she should?

laughable really. i thought that a position such as this may have been a good idea and i understand what she tweeted was with a lack of hindsight and from a youthful and inexperienced mind but surely there were/are more deserving people of this £15k a year role? (funded by the tax payer)

Immediately and without reservation and for possessing those eyebrows alone.

It doesn't help cement faith in PCCs, already considered by many to be a waste if taxpayers money. It was a hipster experiment destined to fail.

We all make mistakes but certain jobs require a higher standard, and less of a blemished past, and that job is one of them.

She should have been vetted properly and never got the job in the first place. She should go.

but what demographic are they trying to reach by employing her?
A nice respectable teen won't be able to accurately comment on what teens really feel, our little one thinks her tweets make her more likely to follow her than ignore her

If this is the sort of behavior and views that would get respect from youth then ultimately there is no hope.

r

everyone makes mistakes but the government is making a massive one if they don't sack her over this as they have managed to make a complete balls up of something which should have been good.

what was the screening process, who did the research? there's loads of youths doing good for their broken community who have never done anything like this and would have loved this opportunity.

they are sending out the wrong message by not sacking her.

Admitting underage drinking and probable drug use, admitting being drunk at work, admitting being a racist and a homophobe, but worst of all having eyebrows thicker than Bert off Sesame Street.

She has to go.

It was probably nepotism that got her the job. Either that or someone else filled out the application form.

I won't get started on that though as I believe nepotism and how job recruitment is carried out these days is one of the reasons the western economy is going down the ********

I think she should step down and I'm usually pretty lenient(?) About these things. When you're young sure you do dumb things etc but racial tweets are not dumb teenage things, and at the age of 16 you clearly know that racism is socially unacceptable and not to shout about it. Also by the time you're 16 you are definitely starting to form your adult opinions of things, so she probably still feels the same homophobia and racistvthought. Considering her position and public limelight I think she should not be allowed that position, especially if the message is 'you can say whatever you want when you're 16, because teenager'.

And calling a gay person a 'fag' means silly now? Come on...

i concur. especially in this sector.

It's funny. If I remember rightly, she was on the radio and one of the presenters asked something along the lines of... "If you knew some of your friends were going to a party and there'd be under age drinking, what would you do?" to which she replied (again, something along the lines of) "I'd try and persuade them otherwise blah blah blah". As if.

What the hell even qualified her to get this 'role' in the first place?

Get rid of her, and get rid of the position as well unless they're going to actually put it to proper use.

Sack the hard faced ***** and do a way with this stupid teen commissioner BS, that 15k year can go to better use. I mean 17 and straight in to a 15k joke job funded by the tax payer, ridiculous.
