WD Red to replace the 1TB WD Green I was using for documents and RAW photos storage (Lightroom). It was getting long in the tooth due to being SATA-II only and also ebing used as an extraction drive for downloads so something with a larger cache and performance was ideal for 24/7 running.

Old (WD Green 1TB, 7200RPM, 32MB Cache, SATA-II):

New (WD Red 1TB, non-stated RPM, 64MB Cache, SATA-III):

It's 3-4dB quieter than the Green model in idle and operation

It is not audible during seek either whereas the green was.
