Anyone have this? Asus SonicMaster MX239H

I had a look at one, panel is good but most impressive aspect is the speakers, for a monitor they are not bad, far better than what monitors normally come with.

I don't suppose you have 3 kicking about you could show us in an eyefinity setup Gibbo? It's the ultra thin bezel that caught my eye on these.

The design, the specs, everything about it seems SO GOOD but then again thats ASUS for you (my opinion) they make some nice stuff!

I'm really considering it! I've wanted 2 monitors minimum for a while now and I may have just fount the winner :D

I purchased this just under a week ago and am really enjoying it.

Been playing Bioshock & Tomb Raider and looks really good, colors rich and vivid

Lots of setups available and color management. Speakers are good for a monitor, but they won't wow you, even if they are B&O.

Design is very professional, looks slick, even when turned off.

Only minor gripe is the touch sensitive buttons are in fact very sensitive, all in all I'm very pleased with the purchase!

I like the Ultra Slim Bezel, wish they offered a 27" version of the montior.

They do, the MX279H. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-048-AS&groupid=17&catid=1120

Also be aware that many press photographs of the monitor make the area around the image look thinner than it actually is. The top and side bezel (including the border around the image) is still only around 10mm (12mm for the 27" model) which is very slender still. Aside from that these monitors are very good. Nicely set up for rich and accurate colours and good control over the grey to grey acceleration (good ol' Trace Free). There are some cheaper alternatives available with similar image performance and equally thin bezels if you aren't that fussed about the speakers or the exact style.

Saw this a whilst ago and was like wow I WANT but thats a big price tag! I only saw this 23" version as it's on sale this week, 4" for £80-100 less ;)

I really like this monitor as well and I will order it these days as a replacement for my old Samsung T220. I have read only good reviews but what will be a cheaper alternative for the Asus MX239H because I wasn't able to find any ?

The LG IPS237L, AOC i2367Fh and soon AOC i2369Vm come to mind.

The Asus PB238Q might be a good alternative but the price is quite similar and the MX has a superior design.
If the price of the BENQ XL2411T will drop this week ( I am funny isn't it) to around 200 £ , well it might change my mind away from the MX. The thing is I really don't want a 3D monitor ( I already have a 3DTV and not using the 3D feature too much) and paying the extra money for it makes no sense to me.
And one more thing : the Asus MX comes with a 3 years warranty vs 2 years warranty offered by the Benq XL, and believe me warranty is very very important.

First, I am sorry for not reading the FAQ and I have made a mistake.
Second, I have bought the Asus MX239H today and I will update as soon as I will receive it and tested.

Absolutely amazing monitor !!! No fault of any kind, solid build, buttons are not THAT sensitive as some people related (unless you are a savage), amazing colors and contrast, no back light bleeding and it works like a charm with the Fifa13 ( i'll soon test it with the Black Ops 2 but when I'll get some time). It also looks very luxury, beautiful design. I haven't tested the speakers as I have an external audio system. Highly recommended !

Did you use the HDMI to DVI cable that come with the monitor?,

or are you using HDMI to HDMI?

I've used the DVI to HDMI cable but one of mine, Belkin gold plated, because the cable that comed with the monitor is kind of cheap. I've connected my 3DTV to the HDMI port.

I'm just going to kick this thread up again, because i set 3 of these up in eyefinity yesterday for a mate and they are absolutely stunning in design. There were 5 of us in the room when we ran the unigine valley demo across the 3 and every one of us just went "WOW"

I don't know what they're like for input lag, and all that jazz, but certainly for pure looks (and the build quality!) they're absolutely stunning screens.

Makes me look at my Hazro HZ27WC and Iiyama G2773HS and go ":( these are pants now i've seen that"

The model I'd seen in eyefinity was the MX279H 27" varient too....I'm now looking at getting 3 of my own :p

EDIT: PCM2 are there any screens you know of that are a bit cheaper but match this for pure good looks and nice thin bezels?

See here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=24402929&postcount=11

Not the best pictures because they're ones my mate took on his shoddy iphone :p but you get the jist....personally when i get mine (which might be a few weeks yet) i'll probably take a lot more

I don't think it's possible to do these justice with a picture. I'm tempted to go for the 23" ones instead and save some £££ but what with using 27" monitors at work, 27" monitors at home.....I'm just not sure i could step back from 27" now haha
