Domain name valuation

Hi,

I am looking to sell a .co.uk domain name that I believe has some value.

I'm not prepared to announce the name in question, but it is in the format of www.word1-and-word2.co.uk

Is there anyway of gauging the value of the domain name?

No.

And I agree with the posters above. Hyphenated means it cant be worth more than £4.42. I'm guessing more in the £2.10-£2.99 range.

How can you ask us to value it when you won't even disclose what it is.

I'm not asking OCUK members for their own valuation. I am asking if there are other ways I can find out.

hyphenated = trash

if its a massive brand name they'll simply reclaim the domain from you after having put your testicles through a mangle. Don't expect to extort any of the big boys, they will crush you and use your remains to fertilise their gardens..............

Pretty much. The law regarding trademarks and copyright infringement is on their side too, to the point where it would be foolish to try and extort them.

indeed. ive lost count at how many domains work have reclaimed.

there was one russian dude running a clone of our site too, including painstakingly translated graphics. got that handed over pretty sharpish
