I just received my THIRD MSI card and this one is worse than the 2 before it, can't even get it to post and the fan is stuck on 100%. Oh and to make matters worse, it's a bloody RMA! The anti-static bag was clearly opened and torn, not to mention it's a V1 board on the card.

I've RMA'd mine and asked that a replacement is tested before dispatch... am I making a mistake here? Should I be asking for a refund / alternative manufacturer replacement?

Dunno, this'll be my fourth RMA. But i'll be requesting my money back this time and going elsewhere.

I also asked that a replacement be tested after my first RMA. They didn't test it. Got another dud.
 
Well mine is ok it seems... it came with lower voltage on the core and barely gets to 70oc even on furmark stress test, with fans barely noticeable.

Im happy, its a great card for the price assuming you get a good one it seems.
 
So is that the problem then? OCUK are still sending out V1's? I do still want this but i want a V3 without the problem and dont want to be bothered with sending things back and forth.

+1, but i don't know how to tell which is which anyway, unless it has a bloody defect

Not good if OCUK are doing that when they listed the card as a revision without the diode issue.
