Loved COH1 and put a lot of time into it back in the day. Looking forward to this one as well.

Doesn't seem to be too demanding at 1080p either. Performance seems to be good on both sides.

Does anyone know if its Direct X11?

WOW, this certainly favours AMD cards doesn't it  iirc the first one was a nvidia endorsed game as well.

Oh and got this from wiki:

Company of Heroes 2 will take advantage of DirectX 11 but will also support DirectX 9

Understandably the Titan is way out in front, I'm just surprised by how much the GTX680 is getting spanked by! Nearly 20 fps avg away from a 7970 GE!

Driver updates required me thinks. Especially given the negative looking scaling on the GTX690.

I almost don't want to post this here for fear of starting world war three but its also getting a bit of a spanking in battlefield 3 on the latest drivers.

Sadly no titan im afraid but the 690 is doing great.

Agreed but how can the 680 be so far behind yet the titan is so far in the lead?

EDIT

Back on topic. It looks like both sides will run this game well. I can't see it being that demanding tbh.

6990 is scaling really well in those benches Matt!

The one thing I'm not too keen on with most benches is they don't state the boost clocks, the 680 may only boost to ~1ghz when others may boost oob at 1.2ghz for example.

What's the default or average?

The good thing about the 7970ghz is you know its only 1050 core with plenty more normally left in the tank assuming your card is not voltage locked.

Boost out of the box can vary by quite a bit, on the GTX680 the guaranteed minimum boost clock speed is 1006mhz, though it changes from card to card, some may only boost at 1050mhz, some may boost out of the box closer to 1200mhz.

Same with the GTX670, the Gigabyte OC I had was a minimum 1058mhz, my card boosted out of the box with no overclock at ~1190mhz while other owners of the same card only got an out of box boost of ~1080mhz.

The 680 I had boosted to 1137 I think it was, it was overclocked to 1250/1750 though. My 7970 at 1100/1600 out performed it in benchmarks.

lol Another company making people buy game for beta. I in the market for a good RTS this looks abit like C&C

But I will not buy into a beta.

Most release BETA versions for free, Crysis 3, BF3... to get feedback from users and because they are pretty confident people will like it and then buy it.

Some use the BETA thing as a "get the game early reward" for buying it, that just makes me think they know its not much good and are trying to ramp up sales.

in other words, it puts me off.

I agree

I didn't even know you got beta access when I pre-ordered it. I only found out last week when Amazon sent me an email.

I have to say CoH 2 is every bit as awesome as the original (if not more so) and it runs like a dream on my computer with everything maxed out at 2560 x 1440 (except AA).

That's good to hear, what are your pc specs?
