I'm hoping to get another 7950 in here

Something with a good cooler and unlocked voltage like either another asus top v2 or the his one that puts the heat out the back.

Have I got room?

Also can you recommend me a good psu :)

Id say yes as the slot seems available, if its not you could get a dual slot card and put the dual sloot card at the top and your asus card at the bottom :)

If you do put another one in hen make sure you look at your air flow as you might need to arrange some case fans to pull air in across these cards... :-)

It would fit, but it may get quite toasty in there

I do have a 120mm fan in the side window blowing air directly on the card.

Really can't make my mind up,

I'm thinking of just getting the HIS 7970 for £320 and putting my 7950 into my dedicated miner.

I have £650 to spend on gpu and psu.

Single 7950 should be fine for 1080p 60hz.
Get another for your miner :D

I've just setup my mining rig in my conservatory, just gotta wait for my final delivery tomorrow and i'll have my spare GPUs chugging away (2 7970s and a 7850) bonus being i can always grab any card i want for some CF and TF benching :D :D

Also if your using your TV as a monitor then there is little point to 2 7970's

Yes I'm on 1080p 60hz but my main game right now is crysis 3 and although it's good I would really like a few more frames :)

My 7950 highest stable in games clocks are 1075mhz 5300mhz and I'm thinking I would get a nice boost if I went for a 7970 but not sure if it would be enough.

Not really bothered about it being overkill because I'm enjoying mining coins and when I'm not gaming it will be mining.

I'm thinking I may just go for the slightly overpriced gigabyte 7970 ghz and not have any of the crossfire issues.

Another 7950 and get a bigger/better case with the money saved.;)

You won't see a difference between a 7950/70@1080p, the only way you might, is if the 70 clocks much higher than your 50.

With the arrival of the ASICS boxes you can expect GPU mining to be about as silly as CPU mining is now. Get the surplus hardware sold sooner rather than later (and if you want to continue get looking at a butterfly labs box).

Yes I understand that thanks :)

I been reading more about it tonight and lots over the last few days and know that it's getting to the end so don't worry I'm not going through money at a gpu just for mining.
I will carry on mining btc and ltc whiles it's profitable and then just have fun buying and selling the coins after that.

I don't actually have any surplus equipment my mining rig is also my sons gaming rig so anything I buy will get used and appreciated .

I'm been looking at cards all night and think I have decided that I'm going to buy my self a decent 7970 and stick my 7950 in my sons gaming rig (my mining rig) and forget about crossfire.

But which 7970 do I buy???
