One of my stickers came off the motherboard and I tried to put it back on. But, I accidentally placed it over a very tiny component. I also pressed it quite firmly.

Now my question is do stickers create static? And did I damage my motherboard my pressing it hard?

I checked the motherboard and there are no signs of any scratch or anything.

Yes, it works fine. I ran it for 24 hours with Prime95 and Burn-in test to see if everything is OK. Temps are all normal.

Lol, tell me about it. I'm ****in paranoid. It's a expansive motherboard. It's a ASUS P8Z77-Pro

If it works all ok it's very very unlikely that any damage was caused.

Modern motherboards are surprisingly resilient and tough.

Aye they're pretty tough these pcbs I'm pretty heavy handed and I don't remember breaking any yet.

+1

It will only be damaged if you broke the pins on that specific components.
But if your computer boots up and runs fine at normal temps then its fine and nothing to worry about.

NO...not sticker damage surely?! Why on earth did you mess with the stickers? This motherboard is doomed, never mess with the stickers they hold bits of the motherboard together.

:) alright sarchy...remember the only stupid question is the one ya didnt ask....even if it did make some people giggle a little.

This reminds me of when I dropped a screwdriver on my Maximus IV X79... Ouch . I was lucky though, just missed a transistor.

I so somebody that went thru 3 layers of the PSB with the screwdriver
I also broke the contact of a component on a motherboard
I was sweating while soldering it back
