T-Mobile Full Monty (unlimited etherything)

A few months later, my upload is still horrible, but ...

Looks like they have updated their network from 3.6 to 7.2 Mbps after the full 3G merge with orange.

It will be interesting to see what (if anything ?) happens....always happy for faster speeds, but can't really grumble about the 4/1mbps as it generally is consistent for me, and suitable.
That said, grovelling T-mobile apology and free upgrade to 4g would be splendid :p

Lol. Good i left T-mobile for Three. Service is soo much better. By far the best network for 3G coverage.

As for T-mobile, doubt anything will happen...

My speeds with T-Mobile are shocking at times, they have sent me a new micro SIM to see if that fixes it but here are my results:

Sat 13/04/13 @ 4:26pm
9.7 download
2.3 upload

Mon 15/04/13 @ 12:47pm
0.37 download
1.63 upload

Tue 16/04/13 @ 3:42pm
0.07 download
0.98 upload

Wed 17/04/13 @ 3:48pm
0.26 download
0.98 upload

Time to ring them up again I think.

T-Mobile and its Full Monty service told off over unlimited claims

  • Only authenticated SMTP (e-mail sending) access is allowed
  • Peer to peer activities are throttled between 8am and 2am every day
  • Download speeds are limited to 4 Mbps, irrespective of level of 3G signal
  • Upload speeds are limited to 1 Mbps

This is the same thing that happened with their 'truly unlimited' plan that i'm on.

It seem that they never learn.

I rang T-Mobile and they checked and found that the reason why my speeds are shocking during the day time whilst I'm at work is because the transmitter in that location is getting hammered as it's near a college. He said there are two transmitters in the area and one was off last week but it's back on this week, and there is nothing they can do about it unfortunately.

Will be running further speedtests this week in different locations as I'm sure it is not only limited to my work location, but we shall see.
