Random day trip up North and around the Cairngorms. Great weather for it, sunny, dry, fracking cold.

The E83 X3 has got most of the use and attention over the last 5-6 months, so it was definitely a good chance to get the 335i out for a blast.

Great stuff.

Welcome to the north ;)

It's even better when it dries and and we get some heat, although said season also brings heavier traffic with those pesky caravans and Americans in RVs!

Lovely car, stunning location to live ! What kinda mpg do you get, town, highway etc?!

The trip computer says 26mpg, that's mostly city driving with the odd motorway / dual carriage way blast over the 2 years I've owned it - I've probably reset it a few times to be fair but it always hovers around there. Which I'm happy with, I didn't buy it for mpg and never expected to get the 30/31 the book figure is.

Thats very handy thanks, looking to buy one soon and its good to get a real idea rather than the often unattainable official figures which were all taken downhill just after the computer had been reset !!

My trip computer stated around 24.7mpg but even then the OBC readings are optimistic. I was actually getting closer to 22.5mpg based on brim to brim calculations with a 60/40 Motorway/Town split.

I averaged 30 over nearly 20,000 miles in my 335i

Mixed driving with a bit more dual cway than the normal.

In fact the running costs where a huge bonus in that car compared to others with similar power for me.
