Perfect eco driving always hit green - possible?

Guys I've been having thoughts again ......

Was wondering the other day, is there a prog, app, satnav that knows when lights change?

Meaning your on a 40mph road doing that and it will tell you if you will make it or not.

Or you turn onto a road it'll say do 27mph then roll because the lights are red in3 seconds and you'd need (and calcs say 68mph to of made it)

Sure theres summit like this prevents sudden braking or 70% of it
 
Also a system which would indicate where other cars were going.
So many times I've let people out of junctions only for them to take a right turn further up the road causing me to stop and waste valuable MPG's :rolleyes: :p

They program an extra light into most of them, the colour is called amber. It's excellent, it tells you it's about to change to red.

Also, if you know it's been on green for awhile, ensure you bomb it just in case they do change quickly to avoid sudden braking.
Pending speed, feel free to drop a gear or two.
 
Just imagine how much better the world would be if there was a timer underneath each traffic light with a countdown to when it'll change.

Would stop those moments when you're on a bypass doing 70mph, then suddenly amber and you either have to barrel it through a freshly red light, or brake like no tomorrow and hope you have enough room.

Or it'll say you have 2 sec to go so you don't need to even slow down as you know the lights will be on green when you get there.

You've just got to hope no-one jumps an amber light going across you or....Bang everyones dead
 
I think an app that knows you're drunk, have no MOT, no insurance and a car not fit for the road is a better idea tbh

They have these in Bulgaria, all it does is cause more people to race through st the last second or boot it as the count down gets to 0. It is rubbish.
 
I dont think its stupid or in 10 secs you get red/amb the green. So it says 10 so you stop driving nd brake enough furtherback so when thry hit amber and hen green you can carry on without loosing as much speed,
