*breaking news* Boston Marathon explosions

I think im done with this story now.

It has been all but solved (suspect wise) All the media will do now is glorify the mad men as they always do, making them front page news for a whole week. In reality they should play the whole thing down, but they wont.

Making celebrities out of these people only increases the chance of others wanting to follow in their footsteps.

Well a bombs just gone off, everyone else is running for their lives or looking at where the bomb went off and his just walking away, taking a walk down the sidewalk!
He may be walking but look at his elbow compared to everyone else who is running away. Bent at 90 degrees, that's a natural position when jogging/running which I think he is. As for not having a care in the world, you can't tell that at all. I bet he is concerned with getting away, although it sounds like he didn't bother to go too far.

It certainly does look like it though.

No, it doesn't, its a still image, he could be mistride and actually running faster than anyone else there. Secondly there is a old guy who "appears" to not be moving at all(ok its in the uncropped version of the pic, standing foreground to the right of where the pic is cropped). You have a bald guy standing still looking the other way, you have two people standing a bit further up than the bald guy looking down towards the explosion, you have the lady in the pink jacket on her power walk, you have the guy in the MIT top just walking across the street...etc, etc.

People see what they want to see, its a still, you can't guess his emotions, nor speed, nor motivation by watching, its a picture with a dozen people all reacting completely differently to the explosion, NOTHING makes what he's doing more suspicious than anyone else, nothing at all. Walking away is more suspicious than the people standing watching, or the people running towards the explosion or the ones running away from it, how, this is of course completely assuming he's walking and not running.

I'm not saying that is not the guy, but that being the guy doesn't make his moving away suspicious or that photo mean anything. By all accounts of whats going on now its insanely likely they are the two guys, not necessarily because of the chase/robbery(stupid people panic, fear being shot and do REALLY stupid things), but the bombs are a bit of a give away.

I think the confusion over the first suspect being dead or in custody is the picture of him seemingly on the floor which would make you think he was captured. If there are reports of explosive vests I was hazard a guess he was captured but before being arrested, blew himself up..... possibly, would explain why people thought he was captured, because of that pic.

I can't see them talking the other guy down now nor taking him alive but for a LOT of luck, he's killed people, best case scenario for him in all honesty is being shot, else he has interrogations, beatings, waterboarding to look forward to and life in jail. I just can't see in what situation he would now choose to give himself up and come in alive.

It's hardly any distance from Boylston Street to MIT.

Suspects reported as coming to US a year ago and may have military experience.
lol, i can't believe they are coming out with stuff like that now. They haven't even released their names yet!

Sky are just shocking. They said they same thing but said it came from a well respected reporter. I bet that is a reporter from FOX. lol

Yes, they have, they've said both suspects names, infact they said the names quite some time ago, they know who the sister is, its a guy who "went missing" from MIT some time ago, who had been suffering from depression(supposedly). It wouldn't take long to track down the guys immigration papers/school info as he was attending a university and would have required a visa to be enrolled there.

Ignoring that, we've seen links to the stories in newspapers regarding his disappearance, the FBI have investigated him before based on the disappearance, hence there would have been checks into his history by both the FBI and the papers that previously reported on the story. Its likely a bunch of reporters know a LOT about his history from the previous stories on him going missing.

Is it just me or does Sunil Tripathi look nothing like the suspect?

There's something about their mouths and general face shapes. The suspects mouth looks very small whilst Sunil Tripathi's is wide.

I feel for Sunil Tripathi's family at the moment. They seem decent people.
