Exactly what I am using :D I had enough of coming up against pace abuse teams ages ago and just thought sod it can't beat them I’ll join them.

That front 3 are just pure lethal though. I'm having good fun with it. You can deffo tell when someone is starting to get angry. So I poke at that anger and make it worse :p It's how you win in Fifa 13 imo. Make you opponent angry as hell they tend to make more mistakes then :p

I have Lucas and Ramires sitting behind IF Palacio and Lavezzi. oh the fun I have ! Lucas has scored a couple of scorching long shots for me :p

Do it in 4321/3421 and you have our "respect" :p do it in 5221 and its all distain :)
 
I lost the final of the Gold Cup yesterday 5-1 but i actually quit before it ended. One of those typicals games where Mirallas and Kone for him were just burning past my defenders and even the simplest of passes went wrong.
 
@Rusty It is pretty much exactly that team but with Maicon on RWB instead of Ralph :p must say I haven't been checking this thread out as much lately has I've had a bit of a break from fifa :p

I don't find 5221 boring at all, quite the opposite. It’s really fun and can do a lot with it. But I know why people hate it. Well any team that has 5 at the back people seem to hate. What’s the difference between using 5 at the back or 352 with two RM/LM's with a L/H workrate ? nothing except one has "3" at the back and one has "5" :p

Either way I've won more games using 5221 than any other form. Although I do have a 4321 Bunda team which I mainly use for cup games. But otherwise seasons most of the time I come up against pace abuse teams. So might as well fight fire with fire.

There isn't a single L/H right or left sided player (RM, RW, RF, LM, LW, LF) in the game :)

Balanced 352 is tough, but not like a bunched up 5 back, whereas WAY to many people out there play 352 on defensive, which is ridiculous, its a solid formation in balanced, but on defensive, it is silly, its just not needed to do that, but same could be said for 4231 in defensive.

LOL, Im pretty sure Timbrad concluded that there arent any L/H wingers, so his premise and his conclusion are complete rubbish.

Massive difference is it takes zero skill to use a 5atb team defensively - thats the whole 'fire versus fire' argument in a nutshell whereas it takes some skill to make 352 (or any 3atb) as effective.

Im sorry but people are deluded in thinking that 5atb screams anything other than being **** at defending or plainly just **** at the game. There are no excuses other than those...

One hypothesis I have is that people that enjoy 5atb also like COD - pretty damning if correct ;):p

I just don't understand why people argue about it though. So many people have argued on here and else where that pace abuse is pretty damn common. So why bitch and moan about it, either learn to defend counter it or use it.

It's a game I play to win. Currently it seems that the OP lobbed through balls, near post goal shots, cutting in and pace abuse annoy everyone. I'm sure there are more but these. Regardless of what people want it to be. Maybe in fifa 14 it might change and pace etc won't be as important. But I'm certainly not going to handicap myself and try and play the "beautiful game" in fifa just for the sake of doing it.

That all said as mentioned I do have a 4321 team, which I play mainly in cups (seems to be much less pace abuse in cups) so I can play what some may deem as a "better" game.

No I know its effective, thats not the issue, it just relegates any player that uses it as someone that just cant be bothered to learn to defend. It just puts you in the same bracket as the ones that you yourself despise, so please dont think you are any better than them if you have to resort to such tactics. Any cretin using 5atb can make it work, is that cretin a better player because of it? Nope IMHO...

Its quite sad you think theres an actual defence to using it (ooo pun)

Then thats the difference between me and you, Ive always played FIFA to make beautiful goals - plenty of posts by me on the previous FIFA threads saying the same...

It's hilarious you think people need skill to make 352 work. It's a formation that exploits the engine the most, nothing else.

Not to the same extent 5atb does - the favoured formations will always play to the engines strength. I doubt though 5atb works on any level other than packing the defence with players :p. I find it just as funny that just absorbing attacks because half your players are behind the ball and then counter attacking to get a goal just to absorb more attacks is so rewarding ;)

That is exactly why I can't your argument seriously, please use the formation then cry about it, please. You will find those who use it have high attacking fullbacks that sit where a normal RM/LM would hence they do more attacking than defending. That is why I compare it to 352.

I know you'll have a retort with you won't lower yourself to that but at least use it before dismissing. People think the fullbacks are LB/RB's which they aren't!

I don't even use the formation anymore but at least I know about it ;)
