Anyone else had this and resolved it?

Occasionally, I sleep Windows 7 (sleep as in suspend to RAM only) and when I switch it back on, everything sounds like it should with fans whirring and lights etc., only I get zero video. I have to hold down the power button and reboot. It's the same on two different monitors.

GPU is a Radeon HD6950.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

In that case I'm not sure what the problem could be. Have you also tried using different DVI cables to make sure the problem doesn't lie there?

I've got two monitors on two DVI cables and the same thing happens on both.

List your pc specs, usually its a ram setting or a motherboard BIOS update is needed

Q6600 @ stock
8GB of DDR3
Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
Win7 x64

Overclocked CPU can stop wake up on some boards

All speeds are at stock :(.

I had this problem too! the only fix i have found to work is not install any Windows updates, have tested this on 3 PC's and it works.
