5 Year old raped and brutalised

I think you may want to look at the origins and insinuation there unless you were specifically referring to a country completely out of context. Which I very much doubt you were.

I was actually 100% lol, Mongolia.

My cousin suffers from down syndrome so wouldnt, in fact i didnt relaise Mongolia was a term used for people with said illness.

It isn't Mongol/**** was used because of the similarities in facial appearance between ethnic Mongolians and people who have Down's. Might want to not use that word now you do know as it's like calling someone a "spastic" etc - has some nasty connotations.

Exactly, elmarko exactly they similarity the caused the term. However, I will say such folds are entirely common in newborns so don't panic it doesn't mean anything untoward.

It was. As elmarko said using it to insult people is pretty impressive as you alienate two groups at the same time. **** just being a shortened Mongol which I believe used to be an actual medical term. Not the proudest of medical observations up there with FLK and NFN etc.

I was just simply mimicking his name with the country Mongolia (Magnolia/Mongolia)

On a side note

So when someone says for example "you ****" is that in reference to Mongolia and or saying you're a bit "down sydrome like" ?

Yes, that is the origin of the insult the irony being that most employing it are blissfully unaware of its origin therefore added a rather ironical aspect to its usage.

Ahh ok, you learn something everyday.

I dont think it's a popular term these days, sure it was popular a few years ago.

An interesting article looking into the mind set of people in India regarding rape.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/mar/24/india-rape-disturbing-attitudes-men

Observer gathered a group in the western region of Goa to hear their views. They were: Abhijit Harmalkar, 28, a driver; his brother, Avinash, 24, a factory worker; Bhivresh Banaulikar, 26, an auditor; Brindhavan Salgaonkar, 20, a factory worker; Robin Shretha, 21, a waiter; and Papi Gonzales, 32, the owner of the bar.

Just regular Indian folk

Such attitudes are not unusual. Abhijit Mukherjee, the son of president Pranab Mukherjee, himself an MP with the ruling Congress party, dismissed protesters after the Delhi rape as "dented and painted women". And religious guru Asaram Bapu suggested that the victim was not blameless, asking provocatively: "Can one hand clap?" Maybe if there were more prostitutes, there would be fewer problems for young women, the men suggested. "It keeps men happy," said Gonzales. "In Bombay, there are 20 places that I go sometimes. There are hundreds of places there. In Goa there are no places like that. And when we see the goras [whites] showing their bodies off, the Goan people react badly."

Which pretty much somes up some of the issues. Until changes come from the top down, well see more of this.

On a positive note though

Plenty of Indian men have joined the recent demonstrations. Plenty of Indian men are committed to the cause of women's rights.
