Calling all OcUK Tech Lab H2O Custom HD 7970 owners or knowledgeable people!

I'm not sure which brand of 7970 it's based on, i think it's either HIS or MSI (honestly no idea :D)
Whatever the brand it's the same regardless, you're paying for OCUK to fit a block of your choice and having peace of mind knowing it's working and has a warranty (1 year iirc)
The performance is the same as any other 7970 clocked @1010/1375.
They're quick cards and the temps depends entirely on your WC setup.

It used to be MSI OC cards, its not any more though. Someone posted about this the other day here, can't remember what brand they said it was now.

I was told they are using HIS. Doesn't matter who makes it as the entire warranty is through ocuk. In all likelihood they will use what they have in stock at the time.

I have two msi oc's on water ( what ocuk used to use). They are flying, peaking at around 35c at stock with aquacomputer blocks.

Hi I just got one of these on Friday, its a VTX card, what info would you like and I can try to answer any questions\benchmarks you would like. the card comes clocked at 1050\1425

Thanks :)

SpeckleD - I take it that it must be based on the reference card, which waterblock did you choose? could you take measurements of dimensions please? What does your watercooling set up comprise of? Temps would be good too please if it's not much trouble! :D

Yes it is based on the reference design, the choice is very limited for blocks I went with the XSPC block as I didn't like the EK block. card measures 265mm in length x 135mm from top of the slot to the top of the block including blanking plug.

I am currently running an i7 930 at 4.2 through a swiftech Apogee XT waterblock, a rampage III extreme M\B with a EK waterblock, Dominator RAM with an EK waterblock, HD7970 GPU with XSPC Raystorm waterblock. These are cooled by a Thermochill TA120.3 and a TA120.2 using a D5 vario pump\EK res combo. these are mounted on a Dimastech v3 bench table so not enclosed in a case.

GPU temps are 30-32 idle and 39-42 under load (25 ambient)
