*** The Official FIFA 13 Thread ***

I bought 3 of those player jumbo packs yesterday and sold all the players overnight...today I bought Ilkay Gundogan (he is epic) and SIF Kiessling with the 30K or so I made...not the best but Kiessling is awesome and gives me a better option on the bench than Cacau...
 
My Bundes/German 4231 is actually pretty fun, I miss Gotze & want IF Gundogan, but might wait a bit more, also tempted to just buy Ronnie again fo a 4321.

Good looking team, I did try Jones, not bad, but just didn't sit right with me, so I bought Ilkay as I think he is EPIC...just now saving for an IF Reus for either ST or LM...and for Bastian, but I wouldn't want to take Ilkay out of my team...decisions...

Anyway, I bought Gotze with the rest of my team and Muller, and to be brutally honest, Muller is much better for the way I play...
 
Sold all my expensive players (apart from IF vidal) and enjoying this currently :-

I'm currently playing the following team but I'm feeling that Gotze is a bit wasted at CM as he doesn't seem to get into the game in an attacking sense!

Gundogan is amazing (thanks for the suggestion ps3ud0 :)) but I'm thinking to trying Reus at ST, SIF Gotze at LF and then someone else at CM - any ideas on whether this will work and who to use?? (and maybe IF Gundogen if he's worth the extra!)

Reus is awesome as striker, and so is Esswien. Not sure how Gotze would fair playing in such an advanced position as he is more suited to playing down the left in a LM or LAM/CAM roles (this is from watching a lot of BVB play real football). Instead of Gotze in CM, have you tried Bastian from Bayern Munich or even Toni Kroos?

What he is suited to on real life is definitely not parallel to what he's suited to in FUT :D.

Gotze works best IMO as a CAM/CF behind the strikers in FUT. I can't see past my own 4231 variant on Bundes/German side at the moment but that's just because it's playing amazingly.

The most important stats in 13 are the physical stats, both of these players have dreadful physical stats and Schweinsteiger is stupidly priced on top of that. Personally I'd buy a silver player, Bittencourt or Prib would be good choices, if he is willing to spend more than 15K on a central midfielder then I'd just buy Leitner.

It's a shame Fifa13/FUT doesn't base its stats of actual real life...Schweinsteiger is a beast is rarely gets knocked of the ball, granted, he's no Messi is the speed area, but he's a brick. Kroos is pretty damn awesome also...
