Looks like its been lowered on some springs! apart from that it looks good!!

Thats not the engine light its because either the boot or one of the doors is open! for the picture and its low on fuel!

DVLA checker shows it's a 2L diesel VW as well, which is a bit suspicious. I suppose it's possible that the dealer has made an honest mistake when fitting new plates (i.e. there is a Golf with Fiesta ST plates on the same lot), so worth phoning them up and querying this.

Garage has come back saying the car was undergoing a private plate transfer, which has now been completed.
They were assuming it was going back to WL57 EEG, but DVLA have now issued it with CX57 EEG.
Sound legit?

Also how does it work with mods and the insurance, they've said they don't believe it has been modified so I'd get insurance from that, what happens if the worst happened and it needed a claim and it was found out to be modified?

In the worst case they could refuse your claim (but not third party claims), but more likely they would simply not cover any modified components and refuse to renew your insurance.

It's hardly difficult to check for the obvious mods anyway, e.g. lowering springs, strut braces, induction kits etc.

Is that an engine management light showing?

No, its the warning light because the door is open. Red light is the hand brake on, and the other amber light below that is because its low on fuel :)

It certainly has been lowered, probably on 35mm eibachs.

From the pictures it looks in good condition inside and out. Odd about the reg though...

Is the ST badge on the front grille wonky? It would be worth checking if its had any front-end damage if you go to view the car.

I've asked if it has been lowered and all they say is an induction kit, tbh honest I think I might give it a miss, I don't wanted modded, it pushes the insurance up to a point where I could be getting things like a focus st or Civic type R.

An air filter and lowered suspension go hand in hand with the mk6 ST, speak to your insurance company any get some quotes because they might not be that expensive, if you speak to Greenlight insurance they won't charge you for the modifications at all, get signed up on fiestastoc.com too for club discount.

This car is very overpriced though, I'd try getting them down to around £5k.

Greenlight wanted £390 but for the time being I was thinking un-modded, I'm coming from a 1.6 Nissan Almera so it'll be plenty fast enough and I can always mod it after a year when I'm used to that much more speed.

I can always mod it after a year when I'm used to that much more speed.

You will get use to it after a week of driving. I went from 100hbp to 150bhp (in the Fez ST) and well it took me a few days to get use to it.

The Fiesta is great fun but I would personally look into getting the gearbox sorted asap as they tend to go without any warning and it doesn't matter how you are driving. Mine went when I was just plodding along.

I was looking for lower milage cars, 40k and 50k assuming that would be better, most seem to be around £4.5K to £5.5k.
Never looked at buying a "nicer" car before always gone very cheap or shared with my bro.

Mate had a look at that one there. It's been lowered, induction kit and strut braced.

It's top dollar for an ST in my opinion and better examples can be had elsewhere. You can get one with lower mileage for cheaper.

He won't budge on price either. Mate was saying the guy the guy he bought it off bought it for 6 grand a couple weeks before he got it and he paid 5 for it. It's been there for a good 2-3 months now too.
