Meteor Strike in Argentine

Is it me, or are these things becoming more common?

Not more common, just more recorded. There are thousends of them every year but its only recently that every man and his dog has a cameraphone in his pocket, even in poorer countries.

Little doubt that colonialist Britain will get blamed.

Either way I hope nobody is hurt.

Was gonna say this. No doubt its a secrit weaponz!.

2nd video is awesome, looks like it turns to daylight for a brief moment, pretty cool.

Good job it didnt land inside that concert or a town, the death toll would have been very high.

Wonder what the crash site looks like?

Going to search web in Spanish to see what they have.

I'd poo lots.

There is no sense of scale until it actually disappears. That first vid looks like its heading straight for the camera.

They happen all the time. You will only hear about it more often now because of how fast news travels. I'm sure just 20 years ago if this had happened no one in the UK would know about it for a long time.

Surely if THAT was the crash site there'd be some sizeable fragments to find.
"Every night is observed interplanetary matter drop, but what happened today was the precipitation of a larger element and origin as primitive as our planet. Some fragments amounted to fall to the ground, but they are very small and almost impossible to locate them, "said the specialist.

edit - just seen the above posts mentioning 2011
