Budget around £180 for CPU/MOBO and DDR3

Im wanting something that will play planetside 2 for my son,

Ive got the rest like psu,chassis and Storage,

Will pick up a 2nd hand gfx card from MM hopefully.

I know that AMD is much cheaper but not sure where to start with there CPU,s

lol again "give me and amd build"...aaaannndddd the first build is intel typical overclockers, but the i3 build is much better than any amd build you'd get for the same price

You should find out.

If its single or dual threaded then an i3 makes better sense since it has more power per core.

debatable, an equivalent amd build would have more cores but the i3 makes better use of its cores and has hyper threading

Cheers Ive always used Intel so I think I will stick with Intel

good i dea don't make the mistake i did, had enough for an i5 build but went with an 8350, it doesnt stand up to the 3770k whereas the i5 would have done better

Depends, for a budget PC AMD A10 builds are far superior.
