finally got it all sorted now.

here's the full spec!

Asus P9X79 PRO Motherboard
16gb Patriot Intel Extreme Masters 2133mhz
2x WD Black 64mb cache 2TB HDD'S
1x Samsung 840 SSD
2x Sapphire Radeon 7970 OC Boosts (for pure overkill)
Corsair Obsidian 650d Case
Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler
Corsair 850W HX Power Supply
Corsair Obsidian 650D

About 2k ish!

Just need to OC the CPU a tad now!

I wanted to pop another 16gb into it but wont get it under the HSF unless I remove it!

Yeah I noticed this when I was fitting my heatsink a few days ago, more memory = more thermal compound lol.
