chop stick users over let's say 35 years old

Obviously if you wanted to learn how to do chop sticks today you'd just look on youtube, but this question is for older people who learned before the internet existed properly... how did you learn how to use chop sticks? Did you go to the library and get a book? Leanred from someone else (but how did THEY learn?)? How?
 
Probably from the instructions that come on the paper wrapper.

I was taught by a chinese girl who lived next door to me when i was a teenager in exchange for helping her with her English homework

picked a set up and started to eat using them. its not that hard.
 
There's been this large glowing box in the corner of most peoples living rooms since the 50's (some have reported even earlier!!) that shows moving pictures with sound!

Some of these moving Picture shows, Lets call them 'Programs' have informative content on many things from around the world!.

I remember one of these 'programs' I thing it was called 'The Food and Drink Show' back in the dim and distant past of the 80's that showed how to use Chop sticks!

A little bit of practice, a lot of changes of shirts due to 'droppage' and I am now at the age of (nearly) 40 quite proficient in the use of them!!

What is this witchcraft?!
 
Library for the basics and nightschool for advanced (e.g. noodles). I also did three years at a north wales polytechnic to learn spaghetti twirling.
